BOOK 18 - FOOTPRINTS IN THE FOG
Chapter
1 - I'm So Loan-ly
Mr. Green has made a bad business deal and lost all his silver. The other guests
don't want to associate with Mr. Green now he is a loser and plan to kill him.
WHO KILLED MR. GREEN??
Chapter 2 - Animal Crack-Ups
Mr. Boddy shows his guests his new valuable miniature farm animals. While
plotting to steal them, the guests show off by imitating some of the animals
although some guests cannot imitate certain animals. Later, when one of the
guests has the stolen animals, the guest oinks like a pig.
WHO STOLE THE MINI-ANIMALS??
Chapter 3 - Breakfast Blunders
Someone has stolen Mr. Boddy's new antique clocks but dropped it in their haste
to escape causing the clock to stop at 8.55 a.m. Mr. Boddy checks everyone's
alibis to see where they were at that time. WHO
STOLE THE CLOCK??
Chapter 4 - The Magic Mirror
Mr. Boddy has a new mirror that makes people look younger and better looking
than they actually are. The vain guests aim to steal it but keep losing it to
other guests due to stopping and looking at themselves in the mirror.
WHO STOLE THE MAGIC MIRROR??
Chapter 5 - Say What?
After a dip in the Boddy Pool, most of the guests are lounging by the Poolside,
except Colonel Mustard who has gone to his room. Miss Scarlet starts up her
hairdryer and cannot hear what is going on. Mr. Green in wearing ear plugs and
Mrs. White is daydreaming. All this while Mr. Boddy is telling his guests about
his new acquisition, a very rare set of ancient Egyptian Flutes.
WHO STOLE THE FLUTES??
Chapter 6 - Donut Madness
Mr. Boddy has just bought the Heavyweight Donut Shop from his Cousin, E. Clair
Boddy. He takes his guests to visit but tells them they cannot eat any. When Mr.
Boddy is called away to look into a cash register problem the guests look
longingly at the donuts. There are six varieties - Jelly, Chocolate, Cinnamon,
Raisin, Pineapple and Custard. One guest says that Mr. Boddy said they can't eat
any but said nothing about taking them away with them. The guests start filling
their pockets. WHO TOOK AWAY THE MOST DONUTS, AND
WHAT KIND WERE THEY??
Chapter 7 - Party Poopers
Mr. Boddy and his guests have been invited to Boddy's neighbour, Beau Legg's,
Mansion. However, all the guests can think about is the Antique Silent Movie
Box, used in many old silent films, that Mr. Boddy has just acquired. The guests
surreptitiously leave the party one at a time in order to be the first back to
the Mansion to steal the box. WHO STOLE THE SILENT
MUSIC BOX??
Chapter 8 - Footprints in The Fog
Mr. Boddy tells his guests the legend of the old Lighthouse that used to stand
on the Boddy Estate. It used to be run by an old Mariner who was somewhat of a
recluse and legend has it that the Mariner hoarded a large chest of gold. Boddy
continues by saying that one night the Lighthouse along with the Mariner just
disappeared but the Lighthouse sometimes returns during very thick fog. The
guests look out of their windows that night - It is a very thick fog and through
the mist they can just make out the shape of the lighthouse. They all have the
same idea, to search for the chest of gold. WHO
STOLE THE GOLD COINS FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE??
Chapter 9 - Prank Phone Calls
Mr. Boddy has tickets for himself and four guests to a Film Premiere so two
guests are stuck at the Mansion. Suddenly, there is a prank phone call and the
first guests who answered the phone says it sounded like Miss Scarlet or Colonel
Mustard disguising his voice. When another call comes through the second guest
answers the phone and says it sounded like Mrs. Peacock or Mr. Green disguising
his voice. The two guests discuss the calls and the female guest eventually
thinks it was either Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard or Mr. Green. The male guest
thinks it is between Miss Scarlet, Mrs. Peacock and Mr. Green. Suddenly, Mrs.
Peacock appears and said she didn't go to the Premiere as she had nothing proper
to wear and that she just overheard what the guests said. She continued by
saying she knew who the prank caller was and that the male guests guesses were
all wrong. WHO MADE THE PRANK PHONE CALLS??
Chapter 10 - Making Scents
Everyone is in a bad temper because they are all hungry. This is because every
time they go to eat, Mr. Boddy calls them into a room with another harebrained
scheme. Today is no exception as they wait in The Conservatory for Mr. Boddy to
arrive. When he does, he says he has a new range of perfumes that smell of food
and he wants everyone to try them. There is Pepperoni Pizza, Cheeseburger,
Barbecue Chicken, Fudge Brownie and Apple Pie. The marvel, Mr. Boddy tells them,
is that the wearer cannot smell their own perfume, only other peoples. This
means they will not get fed up with the perfume they are wearing. The smell of
the food on the perfumes set all the guests attacking each other. Finally, one
guest goes to the Kitchen and is so incensed to see Mr. Boddy sneaking himself a
snack while all the guests are hungry that the guest attacks Boddy!
WHO KILLED MR. BODDY??
