ASTERIX ET LES NORMANDS CLUEDO (2007)

In this exclusive version, you will have to guess who has removes Goudurix, this young scatterbrained, timorous and lazy lutecian, envoy in his uncle Abraracourcix to become a man. Will succeed like Asterix and Obelix, has to release it from the claws of its kidnappers!!!   Well, that's what my Yahoo Babel Fish translator says. Although I know nothing about Asterix, this is a fab little set. The box opens like a book and could be stored alongside your CLUE Vintage Game Collection or your CLUEDO Bookshelf Game.

So, who has removed Goudurix?? One of these six villains!!!

One of these weapons was used but as Goudurix was only kidnapped it must have only been used as a threat!! La Chaine naturally translates as Chain but I guessed wrongly on three of others. Hache I guessed as Hatchet but in fact is Chop. Le Coffre as Chest actually turned out to be Case. I got Le Glaive right as Sword. Gourdin I took to be Club and was bang on. And Le Sac turned out to be Sack??? Nope - translates as Bag!!

The rooms are made up of tents, ships, a forest, road, tavern & cliff

The pawns are coloured chunky plastic but, if you are like me and heard of Asterix but don't know much about him, it is difficult to match up the character with his card except in the case of the green Olibrius and the white Centurion. A coloured backing would be handy on the cards.

The weapon tokens are flat metal that look black in the following picture but are completely silver.

A bit smaller then normal, the board is quad fold. By the way, can any Asterix fans out there tell me who the guy in the centre is. Almost every picture of his is with him crying or making a fuss. He's getting on my nerves already!! :))

And here he is again on the solutions envelope!

The detective notes come in a small notebook-like pad which opens up for you to tear out each sheet as they are used.

The rulebook features the crying one again on the cover being carted off. The rest of the rulebook is brightly coloured and a sample page is shown below.

So, another great version of CLUEDO to add to the bookshelf.
