BRAILLE CLUEDO (1992)

This ingenious version of CLUEDO was released to aid blind & visibly impaired people to enjoy the game. Copyrighted in 1975, it was amended by the Royal National Institute For The Blind in 1992.
The box is huge as it contains a non folding game board and is therefore a slightly larger size than a normal board.

The board has a tactile layout to help players move about the board. The character start squares are marked in braille with the initials of the character. The rooms have thicker tactile lines to differentiate between the two. Each room has its name printed in braille. A tactile cross is placed in the centre of the board surrounded by a thick tactile line to show the positioning of the murder cards envelope.

The murder cards envelope is square to take the slightly larger play cards. The cards are all plain white with the murderer's name, weapon or room printed in black with the relevant name also in braille. As the cards have no different designs, I have just shown an example.

One big difference here are the detective notes. This time they are not printed on card but consist of 21 pink cards strung together each bearing the name of each suspect, weapon & room in ink and braille. These are used to keep note of the state of play.

The other major difference is the playing pieces and dice. The dice are tactile too but the playing pieces are different shapes. Unfortunately, the Mrs. Peacock piece is missing and was represented by a blue triangle. Miss Scarlett is a red square, Colonel Mustard is a yellow circle, Mrs. White is a white hexagon, Reverend Green is a green cross & Professor Plum is a purple cogwheel. The weapons are a standard set.

Finally, the rule book is a lot larger than normal as it is printed in large type.

All in all, an unusual version but a bugger to store due to its large size  :))
