CLUE JUNIOR

THE CASE OF THE MISSING PET (1989)

This early CLUE Junior Game used kid versions of the normal 6 CLUE suspects - namely Samantha Scarlet, Mortimer Mustard, Wendy White, Georgie Green, Polly Peacock & Peter Plum - later used in the first seven CLUE Junior Books.

The idea of this game was to discover which of the six suspects had stolen which pet and where it had been hidden.

The game board had seven cut-out holes and a wheel which could be spun lying under the board. The wheel would be moved until the red arrow on the "ROLL AGAIN" square lined up with one of the 24 black lines on the edge of the wheel. Each line lined up one of 24 different mysteries. Each of the seven cut-out spaces on the board revealed a fact about the miscreant, missing pet, location of the said pet and ultimate solution. These could only be read with the special magnifying glass so prevalent in the Junior CLUE & CLUEDO games. To make it even more impossible to see the information beneath the cut outs, one of seven red trap doors are placed over the gaps and can only be removed when looking at that clue. There are various shops around the board and each give up an item of information. You must discover which pet is missing - this will be revealed at the pet shop, the floor covering and sign colour of the store where the pet is hidden - these clues will be revealed at the Signs & Rugs shops & the suspects eye and hair colour and whether they are smiling or not - these clues will be revealed at the Glasses & Wigs shops and at the dentist.

To aid you in working out the clues all the facts about the shops and suspects are printed in the rule book.

Once you have discovered all the information you go to the Police Station and, using the special magnifying glass, check your result. As with all CLUEDOs, if you are correct you win the game, if not - well you have another 23 chances to win!
