CLUEDO JUNIOR - THE CASE OF THE MISSING CHOCOLATE CAKE (2003)

Well, it had to happen. I had to start on the Junior CLUEDO's.

One of those naughty CLUEDO characters has taken a day off murdering and has taken to filching a chocolate cake before dinner!!!!!

The suspects are now cardboard characters and have white stands. There are seven stands, five of which have the possible times of the "crime" underneath, one is blank and one has crumbs. The character who's stand has the crumbs below, is the criminal.

At the start of the game, the five stands with times are jumbled together face down and one is placed in the centre of the board. This is the time of the crime. Then the blank and crumb one are jumbled together with the remaining four and a character is placed in each holder.

There are also six items of furniture which have yellow stands. There are seven yellow stands, five of which have drinks underneath, the other two being blank.

Once again at the start of the game, the five stands with drinks are jumbled and one is placed in the centre of the board. This is the drink eaten with the filched cake! Then the two blanks are jumbled with the remaining stands and an article of furniture placed in each.

The board is rectangular instead of the normal square. There are nine un-named rooms and the six items of furniture are placed in their appropriate room (or off the board next to their room if preferred). Moving is very easy as instead of squares you just move from one set of footprints to the next.

The dice has the numbers 2,3,3,4 on four of its sides, the other two sides are white and yellow. If you roll a number, you move that many spaces as usual. If you throw a "white" you can look underneath a white character stand to eliminate a time or search for the tell tale crumbs of the culprit. If you roll a yellow you can do the same to a furniture stand to eliminate any drink found there. There are also white and yellow squares within the rooms that you may land on to also search.

So, that's basically it. Not been played yet but looks probably a fairly short game. Could this be the start of a collection of Junior Cluedo's?????????????????   Who knows!
