BOOK 1
These are a great amount of fun. Similar to the Armchair Detective Book these are short stories with clues in the text and pictures.
Following on from Dr. Black's untimely demise earlier that year, Mrs. Peacock and Mrs. White invite Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green & Professor Plum to a dinner party in memory of the good Doctor. Each have been asked to tell a crime story over dinner to which the narrator knows the outcome. Mrs. Peacock begins with a tale of Murder, other stories include Blackmail, Ghosts, Invisible Gunboats and Buried Treasure.
A portion of the story is read, each story broken down into two or three parts. At the end of each part, questions are asked and to answer them you must spot the clues in the previous text or any appropriate drawings. Eventually, you should have enough evidence to name the guilty party at the end of the final part.
BOOK 2
Book Two also takes place at Tudor Mansion and once again the famous six are gathered at another dinner in memory of Dr. Black.
This time the cases range from Murderous Skulduggery aboard a Luxury Schooner to Reverend Green turning magician and detective to uncover a Summer Camp sabotage attempt.
These mysteries are a lot easier to solve than The Armchair Detective which, although is an enjoyable read, leaves you totally baffled at the end of some of the mysteries.
