Korean ARREST A BURGLAR CLUEDO Game (2000)

Here's a new slant on CLUEDO. All in Korean but with a few snippets of English to make it slightly easier.

This time the suspects are not named, they just have a colour. Another change of sex in this set. The Scarlet character is a Man, so only White & Blue are Female. Also, the Plum character is Black, although this is not the first time that this has happened.

The next change is the rooms. Definitely not Tudor Mansion in this set! The first room I saw was the Sky Lounge and  thought "Hmmm    It's an Airport", but the Swimming Pool soon stopped that. So, I guessed it was a Hotel of some kind. And, as the title of this game is "Arrest a Burglar" I assumed the suspects were guests who had nicked something. However, on re-checking the suspects, I noticed the yellow character had a menu and bow tie so narrowed the suspect cards down to members of staff. Whether they've nicked something or they are looking for a burglar only a Korean Translator can tell me! The new rooms in this game are The Sky Lounge, Sweet Room, Banquet Hall, Techno Club (Mrs. Peacock would NOT approve!!!), Coffee Shop, Swimming Pool, Health Club, Duty-Free Shop and Parking Place.

So, it's not a murder, it's a burglar. So, are the following items the item that has been stolen or weapons the staff have armed themselves with??  It's a puzzle! Strange either way. You now have China (Vase I Assume), Gun, Hammer (Who'd nick a hammer, they're fairly cheap at B+Q!!), Knife, Rope and Stand (Lamp Stand). These weapons are reproduced on small oval card discs, black on one side, white on the other,  instead of the normal metal weapons.

The board is made of plastic and folds out. The starting squares are unusual in this set. Starting with the red square they go Red, White, Blue, Yellow, Black and Green. The amount of squares needed to get to the first room are a bit unfair to some players to say the least!

The pawns, reproduced on the suspect cards, are made of plastic and are a unique shape for CLUEDO.

Finally, the solution envelope and Detective Notes sheet are reproduced below. There are only about half a dozen Detective Notes supplied with the set but as they're completely in Korean, I doubt they will ever be used!!

Very interesting and unusual set.
