Fun game, one niggle!!
This time the six CLUEDO characters are trying to catch an invisible thief who has broken into an art gallery and is trying to steal paintings.
There are security cameras around the place and the doors and windows have locks, some locked some open.
The picture above shows all playing pieces including the grey "thief" pawn, plus all the pictures, security cameras and all the locks in place face down so the thief does not know which way to make his escape. The black card at the top is used by the thief to hide his movement card while invisible. In the bottom right hand room there is a Power Point which, if the thief reaches, will switch off the power to the security cameras. At each turn a character rolls dice and can do a number of things. The main one is to search using the camera or the naked eye.
As stated, the thief is invisible and plots his moves each turn on a score card.
This shows the plan of the museum and the thief draws his route then moves. The paintings, locks and security cameras are placed by Miss Scarlett and co. at the beginning of the game. The cameras can track four ways so must be placed in the most advantageous way. While the thief is invisible if he is asked if a certain camera can see him he must check his sheet and answer truthfully yes or no. If a character says "Can you be seen by my character" and the thief is in their line of view either way then the thief must say yes. He then becomes visible and a grey pawn is placed on the board and the chase is on.
The thief must escape with his paintings before another character lands on his square and captures him. This is where the locks come into play. The thief may try to escape and find the door or window locked in which case he must try another. If he finds an unlocked egress he escapes and wins the game.
It's great fun...but now my little moan!! What has it actually got to do with CLUEDO??? Apart from the fact that the characters are Miss Scarlet & Co., there's absolutely no reason at all for them and this game could just be played by any characters??? But a small quibble I know. It's still terrific fun :)
The game comes complete with rules in English and Spanish.
