TRAVEL CLUE (1990)

This American Travel game is played differently to the normal versions.

This time there are no movers, dice or weapons for the board. Instead, the play cards are displayed on small square cards with colour coding on the back. Yellow for Suspects, Red for Weapons and Blue for the Rooms.

At the start of the game, the cards are placed face down and mixed up, then one of each colour is removed and set aside. These are the solution cards. The rest are then placed face down, two each in every room. Note that on this playing board the Billiard Room is at the centre.

Players move from room to room and look at the cards placed there. They may then ask another player if they have seen a certain card e.g. The Wrench. If the player answers yes then the turn continues asking other players until he receives a no answer. All information is noted on the detective notes.

All in all, a fairly quick game as someone should have found the solution within 9 moves, but clever questioning can bring the average down.

Maybe for a slightly longer game, small pawns could be used from another Travel game and movement round the board could be as normal.
