TRAVEL CLUE JUNIOR (1994)

CLICK ON THE THUMBNAILS TO OPEN THE LARGER PICTURE

Another simple but fun Junior Clue. This time you have to discover which CLUE character is hiding in which room with which pet. The board is plastic and has holes for movement and five blue doors under which a picture of one of the six possible rooms will be found. In the picture will also be a character, pet or one of each. The idea is to travel round the board, open the doors, mark the characters, pets and rooms you find leaving one of each unaccounted for which, of course, is the solution.

The characters in this game are Wendy White, Peter Plum, Samantha Scarlet, Georgie Green & Mortimer Mustard. The pets are a Dog, Rabbit, Fish Cat and Bird. The rooms are The Bathroom, Living Room, Hall, Laundry, Kitchen & The Bedroom. The sleuths are represented on four coloured movers - Red, Yellow, Blue & Green

To start the game you have four large cards which you place under the hinged game board without looking too closely at the pictures and thus "cheat"!! Each card has rooms on both sides and also both ways up meaning that each card is good for 4 games. With all 4 cards there are 16 games in all. Whichever way you put the card in the game board there will always be five rooms under each of the five doors. The red squares at either end of the cards is the solution and can only be seen by opening the special sliding blue door at the bottom of the board next to the spinner.

Players spin the wheel and move the appropriate number of spaces. Each time a character lands on a rug outside a room (not necessarily by the exact number) they place their playing piece into the hole in the door and open it, carefully noting what they find inside and marking off their findings on their game sheet. If a players spin lands on the magnifying glass, they may move to any door and open it.

When a player is ready to make an accusation, they open the special blue door at the bottom of the board next to the spinner and the solution will be revealed.

So that's it. Good bit of fun.
